We are not your typical small to midsize company, and currently, we are seeking someone who is not your typical Distillery Accountant! Maybe it’s our award-winning bourbon talking, or the fact that our people are amazing, but we’re excited to be hiring an IT team member to help take us to the next level.

Position Summary

This position is primarily responsible for assisting the accounting department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization and providing administrative support duties.

Successful candidate will possess the following:

· Process weekly accounts payable batches

– Obtain approvals on all invoices

– Mail checks

– Match all paid invoices with check stubs

– File supporting documentation in a timely manner

· Coordinate AP priorities with offsite sales and compliance consultant
· File monthly excise tax reports with multiple states

· Assist in the management of our physical inventory
– Internally audit data inputs entered in production software

· Assist with month end reports of sales by state

· Assist with year-end audit data collection

– Interim audit selections and year-end audit schedules

· Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations

· Prepare and deposit checks into local bank account

· Obtain, sort, prepare and deliver incoming/outgoing mail

· Answer phones, take messages or field/answer routine and non-routine questions

· Act as a liaison between the accounting department and internal and external contacts

· Manage office supplies

· Create or revise office systems and procedures for increased efficiency

· Proactively foster and build our awesome culture

· Coordinate AP priorities with offsite sales and compliance consultant

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines by prioritizing workloads

· Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

· Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize workload

· Possess excellent analytical skills and a keen attention to detail

· Works effectively in a team environment

· Positive attitude

· Self-starter with problem solving skills

Preferred Education

· Bachelor or associate degree in accounting or finance

· One to three years of relevant experience and/or training

Physical/Environmental Requirements

· Must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds

· Frequently required to use hands and fingers to type
· Stand, sit and walk for up to 8+ hours a day
