First up on our list for mom is the 2022 Edition of Collectors Art Series. This limited edition, Distillery-exclusive bottle was designed by Denver Street Artist Alexandrea Pangburn. Breckenridge Distillery is proud of this second installment- it’s our first bottle ever to be designed by a female artist! We took our award-winning bourbon and finished for 2 years in XO Cognac barrels, giving this wine finish a pronounced grape nose with smooth caramel and oak notes to finish.

2 oz Breckenridge XO Cognac Finished Whiskey
¼ oz lemon juice
2 tsp honey
3 peach slices (skin pealed)
4 mint leaves
*Add more honey or citrus to your taste.
Muddle peach slices in a shaker or other vessel, add mint, honey, lemon juice, Breckenridge XO Cognac Finished Whiskey and ice. Shake and stain over ice.
Garnish: mint bouquet, peach slice and edible flower.

2 oz apple and pear allspice mix*
1 oz lemon juice
Shake with ice
Garnish: apple chip
*Apple and pear allspice mix: over medium heat add 8 oz sugar, 16 oz apple cider, 16 oz pear juice, 2 oz muddled allspice berries, 4 oz vanilla bean paste, 4 oz calvados. Stir to combine and let simmer until sugar is dissolved. Do Not Boil. Strain and let cool.

8. PX Sherry Cask Finish [90pf]
From the Andalusia province of Spain, a luscious dessert wine is produced from the shriveled raisins of the Pedro Ximenez (PX) grape. This highly viscous, syrupy, wine is aged in ancient solera barrels for decades before release. We acquired a selection of retired PX barrels from a solera hundreds of years old and filled them with our rich and spicy Bourbon Whiskey. Left to bask in these ripe, fruity vessels, our Whiskey emerged with complex layers of fig compote, orange marmalade, and licorice to complement the sweet oak and vanilla character of our world-renowned Bourbon Whiskey.

Midnight Marauder
2 dashes of cranberry bitters
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz allspice dram
1/2 oz cold brew coffee
2/3 oz vanilla bean simple syrup
1 oz Breckenridge Bitter
2 oz Breckenridge PX Sherry Cask Finish
Shake, then fine strain into a frozen coup glass
*Vanilla bean simple syrup: 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar. Over heat add 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste, stir to dissolve.

Dark Arts was the reason that Bryan started Breckenridge distillery. A pioneering American Single Malt Whiskey, utilizing dark specialty malts and introducing them into standard malt mash. At the sacrifice of high yields, intentionally overpowering flavors such as over-ripe green apple, cacao, and chocolate dazzle the palate. We pushed the malt to the boundaries, purposefully off-balancing the undertones of bitter orange peel, angular oak, caramel, and green coffee cherries. Delightfully finishing with subtle essences of seaweed and sea salt. Up to ten years in a combination of new American oak and used bourbon casks has developed a singular and satisfying whiskey experience. Dark Arts, best served neat or with a large ice ball.
