A limited-edition, 101.7-proof single barrel celebrates a historic Denver Pioneers season while supporting the future of Denver hockey. Championship moments deserve a whiskey worth remembering.Breckenridge Distillery has teamed up with University of Denver Athletics to create a limited-edition single-barrel whiskey celebrating the Denver Pioneers’ 2026 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey National Championship. The victory marked Denver’s record 11th national championship and its fourth title in the past decade, following championships in 2017, 2022 and 2024. But this bottle does more than commemorate another championship. A significant portion of proceeds will benefit Denver men’s ice hockey scholarships, helping support educational and athletic opportunities for future Pioneers.

A Single Barrel Selected by Denver Hockey Supporters

This release began where great whiskey stories should: in the barrel room. A group of Denver Athletics supporters joined the Breckenridge Distillery team for a guided visit, where they toured the facility, learned about the whiskey-making process and evaluated different barrels before helping select the single barrel that would become the commemorative release. The result showcases Breckenridge Distillery’s 100% grain-to-glass craftsmanship and growing portfolio of single-barrel whiskeys under the direction of Master Distiller Hans Stafsholt. Bottled at 101.7 proof, the selected barrel yielded only 230 bottles, making this a fittingly limited release for a record-setting championship.
