On August 8th, we invite the community to come together for the Zander Memorial Car Show and release of the Zander Smith Memorial Limited-Edition Whiskey, two meaningful tributes created to honor the life, passions, and legacy of Zander Smith.
The Zander Smith Memorial Car Show
On August 8, Breckenridge Distillery invites car enthusiasts, friends, families, and community members to gather for the Zander Smith Memorial Car Show, a celebration of automotive passion inspired by his lifelong love of cars. The event brings together enthusiasts from across Colorado to showcase everything from fully-restored classics and custom builds to modern performance vehicles and ongoing projects.
We encourage attendees of all ages to connect through a shared appreciation for automotive culture while supporting a cause that continues to impact local students, community, and the Breckenridge Distillery family. Whether you’re displaying a vehicle or simply spending the day admiring incredible builds, the event offers a unique chance to celebrate the passions that defined Zander’s life.

Honoring Zander
Zander Smith’s passion for cars started early. According to his family, cars were at the center of his world from the time he was a toddler. He spent countless hours collecting Hot Wheels, building LEGO supercars, attending car shows with his brother Jaden, and learning everything he could about the vehicles he loved. As he grew older, that curiosity evolved into a talent for engineering, mechanical problem-solving, and a deep appreciation for automotive culture. Zander eventually became known for working on cars with friends and continuously improving his beloved 2007 Mini Cooper.
A Summit County native, electrical engineering student, founder of the Summit High School Car Club, and five-year Breckenridge Distillery employee, Zander inspired everyone around him with his enthusiasm, generosity, and drive. Today, his legacy continues through the Zander Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund, which helps local students pursue their own educational and career aspirations.

Alongside the car show, Breckenridge Distillery is proud to release the Zander Smith Memorial Limited-Edition Whiskey. Created in honor of a beloved member of the Breckenridge Distillery family, the bottle serves as both a tribute and a way to support future generations.
