On Feb. 26, 2018, the Breckenridge Distillery was awarded the prestigious Icons of Whisky award for Brand Innovator of the Year by Whisky Magazine in New York City. From the distillers themselves, still makers and coopers, to warehouse staff and visitor center managers – a great deal of craftsmanship, skill and knowledge are imparted at each stage of the process. This is Whisky Magazine’s chance to thank the individuals and producers for their dedication to each innovative release, unique visitor experience or expert retail service that they work tirelessly to deliver.

The Breckenridge Distillery is turning heads with its library of awards for its Breckenridge Bourbon, a blend. In 2012, their bourbon scored 96 points, one point above Pappy Van Winkle’s 23-year-old bourbon at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in New York City. Their Breckenridge Bourbon is a three-time Whisky Magazine Best American Blended winner (PX Sherry Cask Finish winning 2018), two-time Colorado Distillery of the Year winner and has a Masters in Customer Experience and Gold in Distillery Facilities from the Spirits Business Distillery Masters Competition.
