Shark Week has arrived in Breckenridge! If you know anything about Breckenridge Distillery, you’ll know that something’s in the water up here that makes our Bourbon, Vodka, and Gin such highly-awarded spirits. This summer, there might be something else in the water: Sharks!
Although Breckenridge might be far from any ocean, Liquid Chef Billie Keithley has created these 5 Cocktails for Shark Week that will make you wish you had a bigger boat! Keep reading to see how to stay afloat this Shark Week.
The Abyss
The Abyss
2 oz Breckenridge Gin (Buy Now)
1 oz lime juice
1 oz simple syrup
3 slices kiwi
2 slices cucumber
4 mint leaves
Muddle kiwi, cucumber, and mint. Add remaining ingredients. Shake with ice, double strain and serve. Double this recipe and serve into a porthole.
Garnish: kiwi, cucumber and herbs

2 oz Breckenridge Spiced Whiskey (Buy Now)
3 oz almond cereal milk*
1 oz cream of coconut
1 oz honey simple syrup*
¾ oz Falernum
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain and serve over pebble ice.
Garnish: orange and Luxardo cherry
*almond cereal milk. Combine 1 cup almond milk and 1 cup cinnamon toast crunch. Stir and let rest 20 minutes. Strain, bottle and refrigerate.
*honey simple syrup. Over medium heat, add 1 cup water, 4 oz honey and 4 oz sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Let cool, bottle and refrigerate.

1 1/2 oz Breckenridge Vodka (Buy Now)
5 oz water
3 squeezes Crystal Light berry concentrate
½ oz lemon juice
Mix ingredients with ice. Strain and serve over crushed ice.

2 oz Breckenridge Spiced Rum (Buy Now)
4 oz Cream of coconut
1 oz pineapple juice
1 oz blueberry syrup
½ oz lime juice
1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain and Serve over pebble ice in a cored pineapple.
*blueberry syrup. Over medium heat, add 8 oz water, 4 oz sugar and 6 oz blueberries. Muddle blueberries and stir until sugar is dissolved. Turn off heat, let cool, strain, bottle and refrigerate.

Kool-Aid Bursts Berry Blue (enough to fill a Ziploc popsicle pouch)
3 gummy sharks
